She wants to be insignificant

The last shimmer of hope from a rainbow

The final ray of warm sunshine on a cold day

Melting down to nothing (evaporating)

Floating weightless careless sightless soulless

Gone

--

She wishes she

Could reform herself

Like a potter turning clay in weathered hands

She could rub off the imperfections

Fill the emptiness

Close the wounds

Cover the scars

--

And then drift away

Like a goodbye to all that’s toxic

Become

Something different

Shifting morphing transforming

--

Only to dissolve again

Into a whisper of everything

Forgotten and remembered

Without having to wonder

Who would remember

Her

Before & After
